In 2010 he was named Senior Member of the Optical Society of America (OSA), a recognition for his experience and professional achievements in the field of optics and photonics and where the 162 best scientists from all over the world are listed.<\/p>\n\n

PhD in and professor at the University of Cantabria. Co-director of the Optics Group at the UC. With more than 40 years of experience, he is co-author of more than 150 articles, 200 conference papers and 6 patents. <\/p>\n\n

For more than twenty years he has been collaborating with researchers from international centres, such as the Fresnel Institute in Marseille (France), CNR - NANOTEC, Bari (Italy), Duke University (USA) and the Army Research Laboratory (Maryland, USA). <\/p>\n\n

He has participated as principal investigator or collaborating researcher in more than 27 competitive projects (6 of international scope, funded by the Royal Society of London and the US Army) and 20 projects with private companies. \n<\/p>\n<\/div><\/p><\/div><\/div>\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
