METANANO 2020, the fifth edition of the International Conference on Metamaterials and Nanophotonics, which took place from September 14 to 18 via online, has had the participation of Fernando Moreno, partner of Fotoglass.
In recent years, the METANANE conference has acquired a solid reputation among scientists and each year attracts more participants from different scientific fields of Photonics and Plasmonics research for business-oriented projects within RF technologies, Bionanotechnologies and Solar Energy.
The conference is organized by the Department of Physics and Engineering of the ITMO University, globally recognized among the best universities in the field of IT and photonic technologies and has the support of the Mediterranean Institute of Fundamental Physics
With more than 400 speakers from around the world, every day they have had five sessions. Topics include such exciting content as nanophotonic dielectrics, graphene, and 2D materials, advanced electromagnetism for RMI, advanced nanophotonic spectroscopy and detection, wireless energy transfer, radio and microwave applications of complex electromagnetic structures, metamaterials and metasurfaces, optomechanical and optical manipulation and topological states in classical and quantum systems, among others.
Moreno's conference showed a comparison between UV plasmonics with metal and dielectric nanostructures.
